Mind The Future is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization that is devoted to inspiring underprivileged youth to stay in school and ultimately go on to college. Mind The Future does this by awarding college scholarship commitments and mentoring to promising 6th grade students that have demonstrated academic success despite personal hardship.
What is unique about the commitment is that the scholarship is given during elementary school but does not mature until the student has successfully graduated from high school. By doing this, the student is recognized for their hard work that often goes unrecognized and provided an ongoing incentive to stay focused on the reality of college. Award winners also join the Mind The Future mentoring program which provides a deep network of support to help ensure students maintain required academic standards.
The Big Trade Up was started as an effort to support Mind The Future.
